Welcome
NowDoing is a lightweight macOS menu bar app that helps you track your day honestly — without watching over your shoulder.
The idea
Section titled “The idea”Most time-tracking tools want to force a workflow on you: projects, tasks, time cards, categories. NowDoing flips it. Instead of organizing yourself up front, it asks you every 20 minutes (or your preferred interval): what did you just work on?
You tap an activity, the entry lands in today’s log, you keep working. At the end of the day, you see where your time actually went.
Who is this for?
Section titled “Who is this for?”- Solo developers who want to know where the day went.
- Freelancers who want to bill their hours honestly.
- Knowledge workers who want to understand their own patterns.
Not built for teams that want to monitor employees — plenty of other tools exist for that.
